Fractional Photothermolysis (selective photothermolysis effect) theory is an extension of the traditional theory of Selective Photothermolysis. It has not only rapid and evident results like its more invasive counterpart, but also less side effects and shorter recovery time.
It is used to evenly mark the skin with tiny ‘holes’, which then cause a series of biochemical reactions inside the skin, which in turn will have the effect of lifting, toning and tightening of the skin as well as removing blemishes from the skin.
C02 is a Carbon Dioxide Laser that only treats a fraction of the skin at a time. When the C02 beam of light comes in contact with the epidermis it heats and vaporizes the skin tissue, instantly removing the superficial layers of the skin, scars and wrinkles while smoothing out the surface of the skin. Skin remodeling occurs with new skin and collagen growth.
As the fractional laser treatment does not cover the entire skin area in each session, the recovery time is less. Patients can return to normal life in 4~5 days.
